Welcome to AIMHiTN’s Resource Library!

AIMHiTN supports professionals through training, resources, and advocacy to foster the early relational health of infants, young children, and families. In fulfillment of our mission, the AIMHiTN resource library provides free and easy access to information, ideas, books, DVDs, and other materials that enrich, educate and empower every professional that works with children and their families in order to enhance the capacity of our early childhood workforce.

As such, the resource library contains a collection of printed books as well as DVDs and other tools to aid all professionals working with children and families. The library is available to all members of AIMHiTN by requesting material to be sent by mail. Individuals can search for materials by taking advantage of the Resource Library Catalog

We ask that you limit your selection to 3 resources at a time in consideration of others checking out materials. When returning the materials, please include all materials in the package they came in originally.

The library is only available to AIMHiTN members.

Please limit your selection to 3 resources at a time.

Policies and Procedures:

CIRCULATION AND LOAN

The circulation period for materials checked out is 28 calendar days or 4 weeks from the date the books were sent. AIMHiTN limits the materials checked out at a time to three in consideration for others' use. If individuals need extended time, the renewal period will be 28 calendar days or 4 weeks after the date the renewal was requested.

If requesting an endorsement study pack, the lender has until the week after their exam date to return the materials.

Reference materials shall not circulate outside the library as we seek to maintain the resources for future individuals. If materials are without permission from AIMHiTN, we reserve the right to ask for the resources back before the allotted date.

All requests will be sent to Abigail Johnson at AbigailJ@aimhitn.org.

GIFTS AND DONATIONS

The AIMHiTN Resource Library does allow gifts and donations to acquire, organize, and make accessible the resources that support our early childhood workforce. We appreciate the support of partners who understand how important a resource library is to the education of early childhood professionals who continually shape our children and families’ futures.

ACCESS AND USE

The AIMHiTN Resource Library is open to all AIMHiTN members by request through our Resource Library . Individuals can search for materials by taking advantage of the Resource Library Catalog.

If a resource is requested and is already lended to a previous individual, AIMHiTN reserves the right to add you to a waitlist for when the book is returned by the previous lender. The material will then be sent after returning.

If a previous lender does not return the materials by the assigned date, AIMHiTN reserves the right to hinder the lender from further checking out materials from the library until the previous materials are returned.

If you have a concern about any material selected, please contact Keena Friday-Gilbert at keenafg@aimhitn.org. They are here to partner with you to support your professional development needs and interests as well as put supports in place.
