AIMHiTN Rooted to Grow Awards

Welcome to the AIMHiTN Rooted to Grow Awards!

The Association of Infant Mental Health in Tennessee is proud to present the 2025 Rooted to Grow Awards! Please utilize our website for access to information that will assist you during the application process. We want to give every applicant the opportunity to get support BEFORE applying to ensure you are confident in your inclusion program and able to support the littles you serve.

The mission of the AIMHiTN Rooted to Grow Awards is to create a pathway for providers to assess their programs and develop high-quality practices for the infants and children they serve.

High-quality practices in childcare settings can pay big dividends for children and providers. With support from our CCDF Partners, AIMHiTN wants to ensure that providers have access to all resources, technical assistance, and encouragement that they need to have high-quality programs.

If you need direct assistance, please contact us at cwellbeing@aimhitn.org.

Application Process

We want you to feel confident in your program before you apply to The AIMHiTN Rooted to Grow (RTG) Awards. Our goal is to encourage providers to highlight the work of creating an environment for optimal growth for all children and seek out the services that are available to them. We ask that applicants review the tools and resources below and reach out if you need additional assistance. At this time, we can only accept applications from DHS Licensed Providers. You can check the license status of the facility by following the step-by-step instructions on the nomination form.

The application process will consist of the following:

  1. Open call for Nominations

  2. Applications submitted and reviewed

  3. Zoom Interview

  4. In-Person visits for observation.

RTG Preparation Kit

AIMHiTN believes in being transparent. We have designed a RTG Preparation that provides an overview of the RTG Awards process. In the Preparation Kit you will have access to the timeline and areas of focus we will address during the interview process. If you have any additional questions about the process, please feel free to contact us at cwellbeing@aimhitn.org

We want this to be as easy as possible for you. Please contact our Director of Community Well-Being, Justin Singleton, for assistance when needed throughout the process.

Our focus is to provide you with the necessary support for optimal development for the children in your center. Take advantage of our partnership with TN Childcare Resource and Referral (CCR&R). Their Developmental Support Coaches can support you in various capacities. Additionally, you can request for specialized training from the Learning and Development team of AIMHiTN.
