This session will focus on Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) and working with families affected by substance abuse. We will explore the effects of exposure to infants and toddlers, the therapeutic weaning process, and treatment needs for the child and family. Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your understanding of NAS, gain practical tools and strategies, and learn how to compassionately support families.

Biography:

Tiffani Dixon is a graduate from The University of Tennessee in Child Development and Early Childhood Education. She has worked in the early childhood field for 20 years as a teacher, childcare director, parent educator, and developmental therapist. She has focused her work on special education, mental health, addiction, and substance exposure in infants and toddlers. Tiffani works at Emory Valley Center as an Early Interventionist with children 0-4 that have qualified for TEIS services with a developmental delay or disability.
