Title: TN IECMH ECHO EBHV: Building Bonds: The Science and Significance of Early Attachment
Date: Jan 9th, 2025
Time: 10am CST/ 11am EST
Description: Infant and Early Childhood Attachment refers to the deep, emotional bond that forms between a young child and their primary caregiver(s), typically during the first years of life. This bond is foundational to a child's emotional, social, and cognitive development. Simply put, our earliest relationships shape our lifelong learning, behavior, and health! Understanding attachment is essential for parents, caregivers, and professionals working with children to promote environments that support healthy emotional and psychological growth.
This ECHO session will offer a high-level overview of the science of early attachment and facilitate a reflective discussion on its implications for home visitors and the infants, young children, and families they support.
