Description:

TN Voices’ Early Childhood Program, Ready. Set. Grow!, understands the pressure and challenges that early childhood educators are facing in today’s classrooms. Our Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator, Mandy McDermott, spent sixteen years as an early childhood educator herself, and we have services designed specifically to support early childhood educators in navigating those daily challenges. Please join us as we discuss the ongoing professional learning experiences and consultation supports we offer through online and in-person trainings, as well as our Ready. Set. Connect! services. These services are designed to equip and empower you along your teaching journey through support and practical strategies and point you in the right direction to creating a classroom environment you love. Teaching can be hard, but you are not alone. Ready. Set. Grow! is here to help!

Presenter(s):  Mandy McDermott, B.S.Ed, ECMH-E®

The Ready. Set. Grow! Program offers supports for educators and families of young children 0-8 years old in Tennessee at no-cost. Our program aims to partner with the adults in a child’s life to promote healthy development and well-being by:

  1. Integrating infant and early childhood mental health best practices into a child’s natural setting.

  2. Supporting educators and families to mitigate and respond to challenging behavior.

  3. Equipping educators and families with the most up-to-date knowledge and skills in children’s development and evidence-based practices.

  4. Keeping children in their natural learning environment.

Available services include training, technical assistance, mental health consultation, and family coaching. All services are anchored in the Pyramid Model, a framework of evidence-based practices for promoting young children’s healthy social and emotional development
