Date: April 11th, 2025
Time: 10-11am CST/ 11- 12pm EST
Description:
Every child’s behavior tells a story, and often, the root is unrecognized challenging experiences that impact the child's entire being. This engaging and informative training will guide educators in understanding how challenging experiences impact young learners and their behavior, targeting classrooms supporting littles ages four to seven. Educators will review the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) model, gaining insights into how early life experiences shape a child’s emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Furthermore, Educators will practice identifying common signs and actions that may indicate underlying needs, helping Educators uncover the “why” behind behaviors that can often enhance the daily noise. Emphasis will be placed on approaches to meet needs of young children, ensuring that every learner feels seen, heard, and supported.
Educators will leave with a greater understanding on how to create and hold brave, supportive classroom environments where children have the opportunity to feel safe, learn, and grow. From building strong relationships to fostering resilience, this training equips professionals with the knowledge to make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of young children navigating situations beyond their years.
*This training will be classified as a Health & Safety Resiliency Training for ECE Workers, in accordance with TN DHS Licensure Rules for Child Care Agencies.
