In this Reflective Practice training, participants will delve into the fundamental concepts surrounding attachment, examining its roles within families, classrooms, early childhood, and Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH). They will explore the various presentations of attachment styles and how these influence children's emotional and social development. Additionally, the training will explore the neurological outcomes linked to secure and predictable caregiving, underscoring how nurturing environments significantly impact brain development and overall well-being.

Mackenzie Mattingly, MSW, LCSW
Mackenzie Mattingly is a licensed clinical social worker that has been providing clinical support to children and families for over 7 years. Mackenzie is passionate about helping people of all ages gain understanding of how our early relationships impact the way we view ourselves and the world around us. She hopes that by empowering others with psychoeducation around attachment that their ability to practice self-compassion will be ignited. Mackenzie is currently a clinical therapist at Family Care Center in Brentwood, TN utilizing various therapy modalities alongside attachment theory with her clients. Mackenzie recently sat for the endorsement exam and is eagerly awaiting her results!
