Lisa Manis
A career changer at age 40, Lisa Manis left the business world to pursue a Master's degree in Education with the intent of teaching in a public school setting. Upon graduation, she found that she was able to use her years of business experience while working with families who have children from birth to age three with developmental delays and disabilities in the world of Early Intervention. Lisa became the Director of Early Intervention at Physical Therapy Services, PA in Elizabethton, Tennessee in 2014. Since that time, through the support of the agency’s board of directors and an amazing early intervention staff, she has grown the department’s staff from 6 to 26. Lisa and her leadership team focus on strengthening each family’s confidence and competence to help their child learn through the implementation of Family Guided Routines Based Intervention.
Lisa received a bachelor’s degree in Finance at East Tennessee State University and a Master’s degree in Education from Lincoln Memorial University. She serves on the Tennessee State Interagency Coordinating Council and the Advisory Council for the Association of Infant Mental Health in Tennessee (AIMHiTN) where she has also been an endorsement guide. Lisa and her husband Chris, who were high school sweethearts, have been together more than half their lives and have 3 daughters: Leanna, Laura, and Layla.
