Hello, I am Laura Thorn, and I serve as the ECE Sector Coordinator at AIMHITN. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Administration from Purdue Global University, and a Master of Arts degree from National University.  I hold a Child Development Associate and Tennessee Early Childhood Program Administrator Credential. I also proudly hold my IMH-E Endorsement from AIMHITN.  I have served in early childhood education for 15 years, but truly found an understanding of healthy development through mental health practice during my time as an administrator.  

Throughout my career in early childhood education, I have served in different capacities including director of children’s ministries, classroom teacher, support staff, and most recently as an ECE program director.  In this time, I have gained great insight into the impact of positive mental health practices on the development of young children.  Through my work with AIMHITN, I hope to continue serving the wonderful professionals in this field who support children and families across our state every day, celebrating their hard work and success.

 When I am not working, I love photography, making music, and spending time with my husband, daughter, and our family and friends.
