Hi! I’m Carly Hambrick, and I joined the AIMHiTN team in December of 2024 as the Learning and Development Program Assistant. My passion for empowering children to reach their full potential inspired me to earn both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
After finishing my degrees, I began my career teaching in elementary school. It was through my teaching experience that I learned I wasn’t just passionate about working with children, I deeply valued working with their families as well. This led me to the field of evidence-based home visiting where I worked as a Parent Educator with the Knox County Parents as Teachers program. In this role, I had the privilege of walking alongside families to empower parents in their role as their child’s first and most important teachers. While serving as a Parent Educator, I greatly benefited from training and support offered by AIMHiTN, and I am so grateful my professional journey has led me to be able to work here.
I have always called East Tennessee home, and I currently reside in Oak Ridge with my husband and our young daughter. Spending time with them is my favorite activity! Outside of work, I also enjoy staying up too late to catch up on Survivor episodes, visiting family, going on walks, and being a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur.
