AIMHiTN Belonging Awards

Welcome to the AIMHiTN Belonging Awards!

The Association of Infant Mental Health in Tennessee is proud to present the 2024 Belonging Awards! Please utilize our website for access to a glossary of terms, resources, research articles, and referral services as you begin this process. We want to give every applicant the opportunity to get support BEFORE applying to ensure you are confident in your inclusion program and able to support the littles you serve.

The mission of the AIMHiTN Belonging Awards is to create a pathway for providers to assess their programs and develop high-quality inclusion practices for the infants and children they serve.

High-quality inclusion practices in childcare settings can pay big dividends for children and providers. With support from our CCDF Partners, AIMHiTN wants to ensure that providers have access to all resources, technical assistance, and encouragement that they need to have high-quality inclusion programs.

If you need direct assistance, please contact Rion Humphries, MSW, Inclusion Advisor at rionh@aimhitn.org.

Application and Information

We want you to feel confident in your program before you apply to The AIMHiTN Belonging Awards. Our goal is to encourage providers to seek out the services that are available to them. We ask that applicants review the tools and resources below and reach out if you need additional assistance. At this time, we can only accept applications from DHS Licensed Providers.

The application process with selection will consist of:

1. Application Review by Belonging Awards Committee
2. Zoom Interviews based upon the Rubric provided below.
3. In-Person Visit to Observe and Confirm Rubric Information

Rubric

AIMHiTN believes in being transparent. Each applicant will be reviewed based on the rubric contained at the link below. Please feel free to use this rubric to assess your own program, to acknowledge your strengths in inclusive practices, and to identify areas for future growth. This rubric will be referenced when conducting zoom interviews. It is not required to complete this rubric during the application process, however, it is recommended for organizational self assessment.

We want this to be as easy as possible for you. Please contact our inclusion advisor, Rion Humphries, for assistance when needed throughout the process. Additionally, you can follow the link below to request coaching from CCR&R’s inclusion coaches.

Please indicate during the application process if your center would benefit from inclusion training through AIMHiTN.
