Hi! I am James Balserak, also known as JC, a proud holder of a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Belmont University, earned in 2017. There, I delved into the Music Business with a Production Emphasis. Despite making a mark in the music industry with my marketing and business skills, I felt a calling towards social work.

My journey with AIMHiTN started off in 2021 when I began as an intern via the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work. During my internship, I had the opportunity to work closely with the Belonging Team as well as the Marketing Team. This relationship solidified in the Spring of 2022 when I accepted a full-time role as AIMHiTN’s Marketing & Communications Advisor.

Beyond my professional responsibilities at AIMHiTN, I recently completed my graduate studies at the University of Denver and earned my MSW in August of 2023. During my journey in graduate school, I completed an internship with Health Connect America as an Outpatient Therapist. I became a Licensed Master of Social Work in April of 2024. My love for music continues to thrive as I write, record, and perform my pieces. In addition to making music, you might find me outdoors fishing, backpacking, or exploring new places in my self-converted camper van.
