REFLECTIVE PRACTICE SPECIALIST

crystalg@aimhitn.org

Greetings! I'm Crystal Gilreath, and since January 2023, I've been honored to contribute to the AIMHiTN team.  My career has been a journey through diverse sectors, starting with disability issues in higher education, transitioning to healthcare issues facing families, and now focusing on Infant Mental Health. I'm proud to be a graduate of both Gardner-Webb University and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where I earned degrees in Religious Education, Human Services, and Counseling.

I'm an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and also endorsed as an Infant Mental Health Specialist. Before my journey brought me to AIMHiTN, I spent nearly five years working with a home visiting program where I incorporated Reflective Supervision into my role.

Currently, I serve on the Board of Directors of the Child and Family Enrichment Center in Memphis, TN and the Community Advisory Board for Healthy Families Tennessee at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. Each position allows me to continue to serve families and communities on a broader scale.

My work, both professionally and personally, is shaped by a trauma-informed approach. As a leader and counselor, I'm naturally curious about those around me, always seeking ways to make a difference in my community.

When I'm not working, you'll find me enjoying time with my two wonderful sons, Andrew and Samuel, and our four furry babies. I love anything that engages my creativity, such as crafting, baking, and immersing myself in nature's beauty.
