CLINICAL PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Hello, I'm Corinne Lewis, a proud Memphis native and your Clinical Program Coordinator at AIMHiTN. My journey began at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, where I earned my Bachelor of Social Work in 2011 and subsequently completed the Advanced Standing program with a Master of Social Work in 2012.

I initially ventured into community mental health, which led me to specialize in Child-Parent Psychotherapy in 2017. This therapy is an attachment-based trauma treatment designed for children from birth to 6 years old and their guardians.

By the end of 2019, I had established my private practice in Chattanooga and was diligently working to further broaden my skillset. I completed training with Postpartum Support International to provide better assistance to young families during and after pregnancy.

In 2021, I reached two significant milestones. Firstly, I fulfilled the requirements for the Infant Mental Health Specialist endorsement through AIMHiTN, which was a truly rewarding experience. Secondly, I completed intensive EMDR training to enhance my ability to help clients address their trauma history, particularly birthing trauma and historical trauma that impacts parenting.

In August 2022, I joined the AIMHiTN team as their Clinical Program Coordinator while continuing to provide direct client care in my private practice. Balancing these two roles allows me to blend my love for clinical practice with the mission of enhancing early childhood mental health support across Tennessee.
