Hi! I am Abigail Johnson, and I joined the team at AIMHiTN in February 2024 as the Community Engagement Program Assistant. I previously served as an intern at AIMHiTN for two semesters. I am a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE), and I hold a B.S. in Human Development and Family science from Middle Tennessee State University.

I started my journey in Early Childhood Education, where my passion for littles and their families was kindled. After teaching in Early Childhood for three years, I saw firsthand the need for early relational health and positive childhood experiences. I found that my passion lies in promoting and helping to foster parent-infant bonds and child development.

I am continuing my education with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, and I plan to continue working in the field of infant and early childhood mental health for the extent of my career. Seeing the learning, growth, and development of children and their familial bonds is my passion, and it brings me much joy and fulfillment. I am dedicated to enhancing the critical work of the professionals in the field to better serve this population in Tennessee.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our 5 pound Yorkie, and extended family. We enjoy spending time outdoors and traveling. In my free time, I also love to read and crochet.
