Hello, I am Laura Thorn, and I serve as the Endorsement Support Specialist at AIMHITN. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Administration from Purdue Global University, where I graduate summa cum laude.  I hold a Child Development Associate and Tennessee Early Childhood Program Administrator Credential. I also proudly hold my IMH-E endorsement from AIMHITN.  I have served in early childhood education for 15 years, but truly found a passion for understanding developmentally appropriate and inclusive practice during my time serving as an administrator.  I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Social Emotional Learning at National University to deepen my knowledge of infant and early childhood mental health. 

Throughout my career in early childhood education, I have served in different capacities including director of children’s ministries, classroom teacher, support staff, and most recently as a program director.  In this time, I have gained great insight to the need for more inclusive practices and early intervention.  Through my work with AIMHITN, I hope to continue serving the wonderful professionals in this field who advocate for children and families every day, celebrating their hard work and success.

 When I am not working, I love photography, making music, and spending time with my husband, daughter, and our family and friends.
